Closing Night: DJ set (MAVEEN) + Digital Dance Party

After our final film screening, Air Conditioner + Short, join us for a DJ set from MAVEEN to celebrate the closing of another great edition of Africa in Motion Film Festival! The set is part of our takeover of Clyde Built Radio, taking place throughout the festival.

Ugandan born, Glasgow-based DJ and promoter MAVEEN has proven himself to be an impressive selector with a keen ear for diverse sounds. One half of Shakara, you can catch him playing at his residency party at La Cheetah or Broadcasting shows on Clyde Built Radio. As co-founder of Shakara, he has embarked on starting a night with diversity, inclusivity being the ethos and music being the driving force. He's also curated Time to Move, a celebration of black excellence through music and art at Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA).

Join us on Zoom after the screening for a dance party, as we listen along to the Africa in Motion takeover on Clyde Built Radio. Register to come along, stream the tunes on the Clyde Built website and remember to keep your mics on mute!

The set will also be uploaded to our Facebook and Vimeo pages within 24 hours of the event.
